Countdown...4...3...2...1...

Earth below us, drifting falling...

Stephen Schleicher has a new tutorial up at Digital Producer, Countdown...4....3...2...1.... Looks like a good one for beginners and it uses the text tool.

I totally love Peter Schilling's Major Tom. The song is over 20 years old but doesn't sound a bit dated.

Boris Tutorial Series

continuumToolfarm and Boris are bringing you six (6) weeks of tutorials.

Up first: Applying Multiple Filters to Avid Titles (PDF tutorial)

One of the most compelling new integration features in Boris Continuum Complete AVX 3 is the Apply to Title feature. Applying an effect to an Avid Title or Matte Key without affecting the background video is as simple as applying the filter and clicking a single button. This lets you create much more compelling titles. You can also easily apply multiple filters to the same title.

Also, Toolfarm is running a special on Boris Continuum Complete v3 for Premiere Pro. Regular price: $795.00, Toolfarm price: $499.00. You can't beat that price anywhere!

Ko is a freelance animator and instructor at Art Center School of Design in Pasadena. You can find him online in several forums so his name may be familiar to you.

The tutorial is very easy to follow for those just learning Cinema 4D. Advanced users may also learn something.

Converting NTSC to PAL and PAL to NTSC

First off, Happy New Year!

One of the most common questions that pops up on the AE-List is how to convert NTSC footage to PAL or PAL to NTSC.

I've also included a tutorial from RE:Vision FX which uses their fine plug-ins and a slightly different process, and a tutorial about converting DV-PAL 16:9 to DV-NTSC 4:3 using Final Cut Pro & After Effects.
